The Strathcona Symphony Orchestra (SSO) continues its 20th Anniversary season celebration by performing pieces chosen by the orchestra’s musicians.
March’s concert, titled Homage!, includes works from a variety of classical and modern favourites from well-known composers, including Beethoven, Smetana, Stravinsky, Sibelius, Haydn, Williams, and more.
Soprano soloist and longtime local resident, Michelle Johnson, returns to the SSO stage, singing Handel’s beautiful Lascia ch’io pianga, Strauss’ playful laughing song, Mein Herr Marquis from the operetta, Die Fledermaus, as well as conducting the Black Creek Children’s Choir.
